Dennis Simms

IntegratEd Hub Lead

I work at the Centre for Social Justice because I believe that our education system needs to change. I am passionate about system reform that will lead to real and sustained improvement in the quality of education, support and development of educators and young people’s life chances, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

I have a career portfolio that includes leadership roles in Secondary schools, Post-16 and Alternative Provision, latterly as Head of School. I co-chair Heads Forward (Teach First’s National Network of Ambassador Head Teachers) which supports circa 100 Headteachers to work collaboratively, share best practice and find solutions. I am the CEO of Simms Coaching and Consultancy which supports organisations and their leaders to strengthen their leadership and maximising their impact in education. I am also a trustee for Reach Academy and HeadsUp for Headteachers.

I am an alumnus of The Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford’s Pathway to Success programme. I have an MA in Educational Leadership, PGCE in Secondary Education, BA (Hons) in Business Management and the National Professional Qualifications for Senior Leadership and Headship.
