Alice joined the CSJ in July 2017 as a Researcher in the Criminal Justice Unit. Her work has primarily focused on the reform of probation services across England and Wales. She has also contributed to the Centre’s work on tackling gang violence and addressing the national prison crisis.
Prior to joining the CSJ, Alice read philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Oxford, graduating with a first-class degree. Her degree specialisms included security studies and quantitative research.
Alice’s interest in social justice stems from her youth work in her home town of Wigan. She has worked intensely with youth services, assessing how best to promote access to mental health services for children living in poverty.
